Dirtcrate is from now on an established phenomenon. Dirtcrate will in many ways take over where Kvurple previously ravaged. This new domain was created as Kvurple.com expired, and was not renewed in time for financial reasons. Still, Dirtcrate is in many ways a better domain than Kvurple. The first obvious point is that "Dirtcrate" actually means something. Also, it is more catchy, and easier to remember.

Now, what makes Dirtcrate better than Kvurple? While Kvurple was a sandbox, Dirtcrate is... Well, a dirtcrate! A sandbox is a nice place for playing around, but in a crate filled with dirt*, it is easier for things to grow. This is what we all hope Dirtcrate develops into; a playground with growth to be harvested.

* Some might argue, and say that the best term to use here is "soil", but it is for the best of everyone that we use the term that is the least bourgeois.
